About Initio Blessed Baraka EDP

Blessed Baraka is built around sandalwood and amber, white flowers softening the top and vanilla sweetening the middle of the wear. Initio publishes it as a note set rather than a pyramid, and it behaves that way on skin: less a sequence of stages than one warm accord shifting in emphasis.

The first hour is creamy and almost lactonic, sweeter than the sandalwood alone would suggest. After that a drier, faintly bitter woodiness comes through the musk, which is what keeps it from reading as a straightforward amber. Projection is strong early, then it settles into a close, skin-warm finish that lasts.

When to Wear

Autumn and winter for evening wear. Cold weather and close settings let the amber and musk read rich rather than heavy.
