Indigo Tanzanite takes its name from two deep blue-purple materials: the indigo dye and the tanzanite gemstone from the Kilimanjaro foothills. Bergamot in the opening provides citrus brightness that frames the heliotrope before it emerges. Heliotrope is a flowering plant whose extract carries a distinctive cherry-almond warmth from the heliotropin molecule; it reads as warmer and sweeter than most florals.
Patchouli in the base provides earthy depth that grounds the warm heliotrope. Benzoin adds sweet-balsamic warmth; labdanum contributes the balsamic, slightly animalic quality of cistus resin that extends the drydown.
