Nostos is the Greek word for homecoming, the emotional weight of return: Etat Libre d'Orange's Nostos builds an incense, mandarin and saffron opening that moves through Turkish rose, jasmine and oud into a sandalwood, suede and musk base, for anyone.

About Etat Libre Nostos

Nostos takes its name from the Greek concept that drives the Odyssey: the powerful longing to return home. The composition follows a classic arc from bright to warm. Incense and mandarin in the opening give a smoky brightness; saffron adds warmth and complexity. Turkish rose and jasmine in the heart, set against an oud accord, build the emotional fullness that the name suggests.

The transition from the incense opening to the sandalwood and suede base carries the composition toward a settled, warmer register. Musk adds the close-skin quality that extends the drydown. Sandalwood, Georgywood and Ambrofix provide the grounded, warm landing that gives the composition its longevity. Four to six hours on skin.
