    Named for the year Queen Victoria granted the crown that caps every bottle: Clive Christian's 1872 Masculin opens on citrus, peach and lavender before clary sage carries it into cedar, sandalwood and frankincense, for men.

    About Clive Christian 1872 Masculin

    1872 Masculin takes its name from the year that defines the house's origin story. The opening pairs pressed citrus with petitgrain and peach, spiced with rosemary, black pepper and nutmeg. Lavender joins the opening with the herbal-aromatic quality that places the composition in the fougere tradition; clary sage leads the heart with a slightly earthy, herbal note.

    Jasmine, neroli and musk soften the heart around the clary sage. Cedar, sandalwood, freesia and frankincense form the base: cedar adds dry, structured warmth; frankincense adds dry, slightly smoky resinous character. A classic aromatic woody suited to the house's heritage position. Eight to ten hours on skin.
