Arabians Tonka extends Montale's Arabians line into gourmand territory. Where Arabians Tonka's sister fragrances stay strict-traditional in their oud handling, this version layers tonka bean and sugar cane underneath: a bridge between Arabian-style oud and the Western sweet-resin tradition.
The opening is saffron and bergamot, saffron taking the front, leather-warm and slightly culinary. As the citrus lifts, the heart settles into a Bulgarian rose laid over the central oud accord. Montale uses an aged agarwood here, pulling more leather and amber than smoke. The base is the signature move: tonka bean, sugar cane, amber, white musk and oakmoss.
