Sea-salt ozonic accord, ambergris and cedarwood drive Megamare, Orto Parisi's 2019 aquatic composition by Alessandro Gualtieri (founder of Nasomatto), built for men and unisex wear.

About Orto Parisi Megamare

Megamare is the most direct aquatic in Gualtieri's Orto Parisi line. Where Nasomatto chases narrative through dense oriental compositions, Orto Parisi works in elemental simplicity: Megamare reduces the ocean to three accords: salt, marine air and sun-warmed driftwood.

The opening is a green-citrus bergamot pulled into ozonic territory by a calone-adjacent sea-salt accord. Hedione expands the heart with a soft jasmine glow that keeps Megamare from feeling clinical. Seaweed brings a vegetal-iodine quality unique to this composition. The base, ambergris, cedarwood and white musk, is where Megamare distinguishes itself from competing aquatics: it dries down to driftwood rather than industrial musk.

Built for warm weather. Linear in development, which suits the brief. Performance is lasting: projection close to skin after two hours, longevity ten or more. Reads unisex.
