Megamare is the most direct aquatic in Gualtieri's Orto Parisi line. Where Nasomatto chases narrative through dense oriental compositions, Orto Parisi works in elemental simplicity: Megamare reduces the ocean to three accords: salt, marine air and sun-warmed driftwood.
The opening is a green-citrus bergamot pulled into ozonic territory by a calone-adjacent sea-salt accord. Hedione expands the heart with a soft jasmine glow that keeps Megamare from feeling clinical. Seaweed brings a vegetal-iodine quality unique to this composition. The base, ambergris, cedarwood and white musk, is where Megamare distinguishes itself from competing aquatics: it dries down to driftwood rather than industrial musk.
Built for warm weather. Linear in development, which suits the brief. Performance is moderate: projection close to skin after two hours, longevity six to eight. Reads unisex.
