    About Xerjoff 40 Knots

    Released in 2012, 40 Knots takes its name from the speed rating of high-performance sailing craft. The opening reads mineral and saline rather than synthetic aquatic, closer to actual sea air than the ozonic accords common in 1990s marine fragrances. Green notes add a shoreside quality that feels contemporary.

    Cedarwood in the heart provides structural backbone. The base of amber and woody notes gives the composition a warm landing that extends from the cool opening.
