Porpora opens on rose and raspberry with cinnamon and clove: a spiced opening that signals the composition's intent from the first application. The raspberry adds a tart, fruity brightness that contrasts with the clove's sharpness. The rose is present from the start, but this is not a soft floral: it reads as a rose in company with dry spice.
Bulgarian rose in the heart deepens the floral register; incense and patchouli begin the transition toward the resinous base. Amber and myrrh in the base create a dark, sweet-smoky foundation; benzoin adds a vanilla-like warmth that rounds the composition. Musk extends the projection for nine to eleven hours. The drydown is a deep rose-myrrh accord with the spice notes lingering throughout.
