I ordered a fragrance as a gift and it arrived in perfect condition. The whole process was simple, fast, and stress-free. Fantastic product and fantastic service.
Myrrh smells bitter, smoky and balsamic, with a medicinal edge and a cool, mineral warmth that sits between incense and leather. It is one of the oldest materials in perfumery, documented in Egyptian embalming, biblical offerings and early Chinese medicine.

The resin is tapped from the Commiphora myrrha tree, a small thorny species native to the Horn of Africa (Somalia, Ethiopia, Yemen) and parts of Arabia. Collected tears are solvent-extracted or steam-distilled to produce resinoid and essential oil. Opoponax (sweet myrrh) from Commiphora guidottii gives a softer, sweeter, more honeyed profile. Myrrh is traditionally used alongside frankincense in church incense.
Myrrh is a base note with meditative reach. Perfumers use it in classical oriental compositions (Opium, L'Heure Bleue, Serge Lutens La Myrrhe), to add cool smoke to rose and oud, and to give modern niche fragrance a spiritual, ancient character. It pairs beautifully with frankincense, rose, oud and labdanum.
Myrrh performs best in autumn, winter and evening wear.
