About Yves Saint Laurent Tuxedo

Tuxedo opens YSL's Le Vestiaire collection at its darkest end, a patchouli-led oriental designed for evening wear. The reference is direct: in 1966 Saint Laurent reworked the men's tuxedo into a women's garment, and Tuxedo the fragrance answers that gesture in scent.

Top notes are violet leaf, bergamot and coriander. Sharp, slightly metallic green facets that prevent the patchouli from dominating early. The heart introduces rose, lily of the valley and black pepper, layering spice over the violet's bitter edge. The base is where Tuxedo lands its identity: deep patchouli, ambergris and bourbon vanilla, all working in support of one another.
