Purpose EDP, released in 2023, is a structured floral-woody built around the dry character of papyrus and sand vetiver. Papyrus carries a dry, slightly smoky quality; sand vetiver is earthier and drier than standard vetiver. Pink pepper and pimento berry in the top add spice; bergamot gives the citrus brightness that keeps the opening from closing in.
Rose in the heart is central but not dominant: frankincense and saffron add resinous warmth, pulling the composition toward oriental rather than pure floral. Sandalwood provides creamy support. The base of suede, Mystikal, and akigalawood creates a smooth, woody-leather landing. Suede reads softer than leather; akigalawood adds a dark, woody-patchouli structure. Seven to nine hours on skin.
