Aventus, released in 2010, is Creed's most influential modern composition: pineapple and bergamot open against smoky birch before oakmoss and ambergris settle the base, for men.

About Creed Aventus

Aventus is a chypre-fruity with a structure that rewired masculine perfumery. The pineapple in the top is bright and tropical but not sweet; bergamot and blackcurrant provide tartness; apple adds crispness. Together the opening reads as sharp, clean fruit rather than candy.

Birch in the heart is the composition's defining element: birch tar in perfumery is smoky, leathery, and slightly medicinal, and it gives Aventus its distinctive campfire-meets-citrus character. Jasmine and rose add floral depth without moving toward feminine territory. The base of oakmoss, ambergris, and musk provides the dry, earthy, long-lasting trail that defines the classic chypre structure. Ten to twelve hours on skin.
