The opening of Calabrian bergamot, lemon, and green notes is clean and citrus-forward, providing a conventional fresh introduction before the composition's structure reveals itself.
Magnolia sits in the heart alongside vetiver, patchouli, and calone. Calone is a synthetic marine molecule that adds an aqueous, watery quality; alongside vetiver's earthiness and patchouli's dark warmth, the magnolia reads differently than it would in isolation. Jasmine provides additional floral depth. Moss and cedar in the base give the drydown a chypre character. Amber rounds the finish. Longevity is seven to nine hours.
