Christian Carbonnel and Laura Santander built Accento around a single audacious pairing: the juicy sweetness of ripe pineapple set against the cool, powdery elegance of iris root. It is a combination that should not work, tropical exuberance meets Florentine restraint. Yet the result is one of Xerjoff's most celebrated creations.
The opening is immediate and generous. Pineapple bursts forward with almost edible intensity, tempered by the green, dewy freshness of hyacinth. As the fruit recedes, jasmine and pink pepper introduce a spicy floral warmth that bridges the gap between the vivid top and the sophisticated base. Vetiver and patchouli provide dry, earthy grounding, while vanilla and amber add just enough sweetness to keep the composition approachable and comforting.
