About Francesca Bianchi Sex and the Sea EDP

Sex and the Sea is a beach fragrance rewritten as something considerably more intimate. Coconut and pineapple set up the expected suntan opening, then mimosa, immortelle, rose and iris pull it somewhere powdery and strange.

The base carries the house signature. Sandalwood, myrrh, labdanum and benzoin sit beneath a pronounced ambergris accord, giving a salty, skin-like warmth that reads less like sea air than like sun-warmed skin. The brand lists its materials without a top-heart-base split, and it wears that way: one continuous accord instead of staged development. At 30ml it is potent, and a single spray is usually enough.

When to Wear

Spring and summer, though it suits an evening better than midday. It stays close to the skin in warm weather.
