I ordered a fragrance as a gift and it arrived in perfect condition. The whole process was simple, fast, and stress-free. Fantastic product and fantastic service.
Clary sage (Salvia sclarea) yields a steam-distilled oil cultivated mainly in France, Russia, and Bulgaria. The aroma is herbaceous, slightly muscatel, with a soft floral undertone that distinguishes it from common sage or rosemary. Clary sage is a foundational aromatic-fougere ingredient, building the green-bitter character that classical compositions inherited from Houbigant Fougere Royale (1882) and modern bottles like Jean Paul Gaultier Le Male and Le Labo Geranium 30. The molecule sclareol, isolated from clary sage, is also the precursor to ambroxan, which means clary sage indirectly supports much of modern niche perfumery. It pairs especially well with lavender, oakmoss, geranium, and bergamot for unisex aromatic compositions. Browse clary-sage-led fragrances at the clary sage collection.
