Dates

Dates entered Western luxury perfumery in the 2010s as Middle-Eastern-style compositions migrated into Paris and London niche houses. The accord is reconstructed (real date fruit is too dense to yield meaningful essential oil) using ethyl maltol fractions, dried-fruit lactones, and small additions of plum and prune molecules to build a sweet, sticky, slightly figgy impression.
