I ordered a fragrance as a gift and it arrived in perfect condition. The whole process was simple, fast, and stress-free. Fantastic product and fantastic service.
Musk smells like warm skin, clean laundry dried in the sun, and the soft haze that lingers on a cashmere sweater. It is the note most often described as comforting rather than loud, which is why it sits at the heart of almost every modern fragrance.

Historically musk came from the gland of the Himalayan musk deer, a practice banned under CITES since 1979. Every musk on our shelves today is synthetic: macrocyclic musks like muscone and ambrettolide, polycyclic musks such as Galaxolide, and newer biodegradable nitro-musks. Each family has its own character, from powdery and soapy to fruity and animalic.
Perfumers use musk as a fixative in the base, extending the life of more volatile top and heart notes while adding a rounded, skin-like trail. It pairs naturally with white florals, vanilla, amber and cashmeran, and it is the invisible scaffolding behind most clean and sensual perfumes.
Musk performs year-round but reads warmest in winter against wool and cotton, and cleanest in summer worn close to the skin.
