    About Frederic Malle Noir Epices EDP

    Michel Roudnitska composed Noir Epices in 2000, among the first releases of Frédéric Malle's Editions de Parfums label. The opening of geranium and orange is briefly fresh, carrying none of the intensity about to follow. The geranium adds a floral note that connects the fresh opening to the concentrated spice heart.

    Cloves, nutmeg, pepper, and cinnamon form a dense, dry spice accord in the heart: complex and warm without tipping toward sweetness. Patchouli in the base provides earthy grounding; sandalwood adds a velvety woody structure. Longevity is strong at eight to ten hours, the spice-patchouli core persistent throughout.
