    Dominique Ropion composed Une Fleur de Cassie in 2000 for Frédéric Malle around cassie and mimosa absolute, opening on rose and settling on sandalwood and vanilla, for women.

    About Frederic Malle Une Fleur De Cassie EDP

    Dominique Ropion, whom the house calls the master of flowers, composed Une Fleur de Cassie as a study in a single flower. Cassie is the Provencal name for acacia or mimosa; the composition uses both cassie absolute and mimosa absolute, two different extractions from closely related plants, to build a layered portrait of the note. Rose in the opening provides a classic, lifted introduction.

    The cassie-mimosa accord in the heart is powdery and honeyed, with a slightly animalic edge that keeps the floral from reading as too clean or simple. Sandalwood in the base provides creamy woody structure, and vanilla rounds the drydown. Longevity is eight to ten hours.
