Hedione, a jasmine-derived synthetic molecule shown to activate human pheromone receptors in clinical studies, is the structural basis of Initio's High Frequency EDP: almond over magnolia, finishing on hedione and musk, for anyone.

About Initio High Frequency EDP

Initio Parfums Prives built the High Frequency EDP around hedione (methyl dihydrojasmonate), a synthetic jasmine-derivative that research has associated with activation of the VN1R1 receptor in humans. The composition is deliberately minimal to keep hedione as the focal material. Almond in the opening is soft and slightly nutty, with a warmth that provides a clean introduction before the floral heart.

Magnolia in the heart is pale and transparent: a white floral note that carries the almond softness forward without adding heaviness. Hedione in the base provides the composition's defining character: a clean, diffusive jasmine-adjacent quality that reads as radiant and fresh rather than conventionally floral. Musk extends the projection. The result is light and wearable rather than intense. Longevity is five to seven hours.
