    Hedione, a jasmine-derived synthetic molecule, is the structural basis of Initio's High Frequency EDP: almond and hedione over magnolia, heliotrope, and jasmine, finishing on vanilla and sandalwood, for anyone.

    About Initio High Frequency EDP

    Initio Parfums Prives built the High Frequency EDP around hedione (methyl dihydrojasmonate), a synthetic jasmine-derivative. The composition is deliberately minimal to keep hedione as the focal material. Almond in the opening is soft and slightly nutty, with a warmth that provides a clean introduction before the floral heart.

    Magnolia in the heart is pale and transparent: a white floral note that carries the almond softness forward without adding heaviness; heliotrope and jasmine deepen it. Hedione in the opening provides the composition's defining character: a clean, diffusive jasmine-adjacent quality that reads as radiant and fresh rather than conventionally floral. Vanilla and sandalwood form the base. The result is light and wearable rather than intense. Longevity is five to seven hours.
