About Tiziana Terenzi Caput Mundi EDP

Caput Mundi takes its name from Rome's classical epithet: Head of the World. The opening of Bulgarian rose, musk rose, iris, lily of the valley, and cabreuva wood is rich and princely, each note contributing without softening the others. Cabreuva adds a soft, woody warmth; iris gives cool definition. Rose in the top provides a floral dimension that prevents the opening from reading as purely woody.

Oud and orris in the heart are an unexpected pairing: Indian oud provides dark, resinous depth while orris adds a cool, slightly powdery elegance that restrains it. Saffron, sandalwood, and red patchouli add warmth to the heart. Agarwood and Cambodian oud in the base build the oriental foundation; ambergris, cedar, and cashmere wood add warmth and structure. The composition extends ten or more hours, the rose-oud accord persisting throughout.
