    Xerjoff named Decas after the Latin for ten: it arrived a decade after the first perfume of its 1861 collection, a luminous oriental of mandarin, tuberose and tobacco.

    Composed by Chris Maurice and part of the 1861 collection celebrating the history and identity of Italy, Decas is defined by a soft sweetness. The composition opens with an unexpected pairing: bright Brazilian mandarin against narcotic tuberose and smoky tobacco, creating a tension that pulls you in before the sweetness takes hold.

    Benzoin and opoponax form a resinous, balsamic heart that glows with the warmth of a candle-lit room, while Tuscan orris adds iris-like powderiness for balance. The drydown is pure indulgence: bourbon vanilla, tolu balsam and clean musk create a skin scent that is intimate, enveloping and long-lasting. This is a fragrance that whispers rather than shouts, yet its presence is unmistakable.
