About Frederic Malle Cologne Bigarade EDC

Cologne Bigarade EDC is a related but distinct fragrance from the Bigarade Concentree EDT that also appears in the Editions de Parfums catalog. Where Bigarade Concentree carries an unusually complex multi-material structure, Cologne Bigarade is deliberately spare: bitter orange with cardamom and pink pepper in the top, rose in the heart, grass and hay in the base.

The EDC concentration is the lightest in the catalog, designed for spraying liberally and reapplying. Bitter orange (bigarade) is the classical Cologne note, used in virtually every eighteenth-century Cologne as the foundational citrus. Grass and hay in the base extend the freshness of the citrus through a green-dry finish, with cedar providing structure. Longevity is two to four hours at EDC concentration.
