Wulong Cha X is the extrait concentration and reformulation of Wulong Cha EDP, maintaining the same citrus-tea-fig architecture but with modifications to the base. Bergamot, mandarin, and orange in the top remain structurally the same; litsea cubeba provides the lemony-citrus facet. The oolong tea in the heart is more prominent at this concentration, its roasted, slightly mineral quality more distinct in the extrait format.
Nutmeg in the heart carries forward from the EDP. The X version's key addition is ambroxan in the base alongside fig and musk: ambroxan is a synthetic derivative of ambergris that provides warm, diffusive projection and a faintly animalic quality, giving the drydown greater depth than the EDP's cleaner fig-musk finish.
