About Frederic Malle Geranium Pour Monsieur EDP

Dominique Ropion composed Geranium Pour Monsieur for Frédéric Malle. The opening is deliberately sharp and distinctive: mint, geranium, star anise, and basil together create a green-aromatic accord that reads simultaneously cool and herbal. Geranium contributes its characteristic rose-like metallic quality; star anise adds a dry licorice note that is unusual in fragrance for men.

Clove and cinnamon in the heart add dry spice; eucalyptus is the surprise element, contributing a medicinal-cool freshness rarely found in fine fragrance. Lily of the valley softens the spice-eucalyptus combination with a clean floral note. Sandalwood and incense in the base add depth; benzoin and styrax contribute a warm, slightly balsamic quality.
