About Nishane Ani Extrait de Parfum

Nishane, founded in Istanbul in 2012, builds its catalog around Turkish fragrance materials and Western perfumery technique. Ani Extrait de Parfum takes its name from the ancient city of Ani, a historical site on the Turkish-Armenian border. The opening of bergamot, green notes, ginger, and pink pepper is fresh and slightly spiced: ginger adds a clean, dry warmth; bergamot provides citrus brightness.

Blackcurrant and Turkish rose in the heart form a dark-fruity floral accord: blackcurrant is more acidic and darker than typical berry notes, giving the Turkish rose a sharp, slightly metallic character. Cardamom adds aromatic spice. Vanilla, benzoin, and sandalwood in the base establish a warm, creamy oriental finish; ambergris adds marine warmth and diffusive projection. Patchouli grounds the drydown. Longevity is ten to twelve hours at Extrait concentration.
