Pimento Berries

Pimento Berries fragrance note icon

Pimento berries refers to the unground dried fruit of the Pimenta dioica tree, distilled or macerated in alcohol to extract a different fraction of the plant's aromatic profile than ground pimento. Where ground pimento (allspice) emphasises the eugenol-warm clove edge, berry-distillation captures more of the green, slightly camphoraceous top notes alongside the underlying warmth. In fougere and aromatic constructions the note threads between the citrus top and the spicier heart of the composition. Bond No. 9 Harrods For Him uses pimento berries as part of its opening alongside lavender and chamomile.
